Our work reflects a unique combination of skills and experience. Our approach is:
Interdisciplinary. We are particularly effective with mixed teams consisting of information professionals from IT, library science, strategic planning, and corporate journalism. We bridge the gaps between multiple disciplines and publishing technologies.
Vendor neutral. We do not sell commercially available software. Our role is to help clients identify the features they need, understand the pros and cons of their technology choices, and connect with others who have first-hand experience with similar products.
Practitioner-focused. Our members, most of whom are information professionals in large organizations, drive our research and training agendas. Our primary interest is in what works, both in the short and long term. We have in-house experience with many of the tools and techniques we cover.
Communication. We are equally good at discussing strategy and ROI with senior executives, talking shop with information specialists, and explaining functional requirements to technical staff.
